Oh the Fishing! Pagosa Springs has always been well known for the fishing in the areas. Important note is when coming to Pagosa Springs to fish please get local knowledge of where to fish, and what licensing may be required. It differs greatly. An example of this is when you are in the Pagosa Lakes Property Owners Association they have a permit, and that is the only thing required to fish their lakes, due to them being privately owned, But if you fish the local rivers a state license is required. We also have great fishing on the Ute Reservation which requires a permit from the Ute nation. So needless to say when you load the rods please make yourself aware of local laws to protect yourself. Trust me though… It’s worth it!
